Vet visits are typically no fun for your dog. But we can do a lot to make her more comfortable and even enjoy her vet visits by teaching her that having her body handled by strangers means good things for dog!
This can include teaching her to be comfortable in a muzzle, teaching her to voluntarily hold a position and to be comfortable having her ears flipped and legs restrained. None of these are necessarily easy for your dog but can be learned.
We proceed at a pace that is comfortable for your dog, gradually creating happy associations with the vet's office itself, implements used for procedures, techniques used in procedures, smells and restraint. This includes nail trims!
